Q4) Who can participate in Run For Hope? Any minimum age requirement?
Run For Hope is a non-competitive, leisure run. It is open to everyone with no minimum age and to anyone who wants to support a worthy cause.

However, all participants below the age of 21 are required to seek parental/guardian consent to participate. Relevant indemnity and declaration fields must be filled up at the point of registration - failing which, the Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to the participant.

Q5) If I do not want to run, how else can I support Run For Hope?
If you can't join the run, you can still make a difference for cancer research at NCCS by visiting our event website and clicking the 'Contribution' tab to make a contribution.

Q6) Is there a minimum contribution amount required to show support?
While there isn't a set minimum contribution amount, we wholeheartedly encourage everyone to support cancer research in whatever way they can.

Your support—be it through participating in RFH, contributions, or spreading awareness—truly helps propel our fight forward. Every effort counts! Together, we can make a meaningful impact on the lives of those affected by cancer.

Q7) Where does the money raised from Run For Hope go?
The funds raised from Run For Hope primarily cover event expenses like logistics, venue, and participant resources to ensure a smooth and memorable experience for all.

Any surplus revenue is dedicated to supporting cancer research at NCCS, directly contributing to advancements in treatment and patient outcomes.

Q11) How do I know if my entry has been accepted?
Upon successful registration, you will receive an email confirmation. In case you don't see it in your inbox, please check your junk or spam folder. If you have not received the confirmation email within a week, please reach out to our team at enquiry@runforhopesg.com for assistance.

Q12) Do I get a refund if I choose not to participate in the run after registration or if I can no longer participate?
All registration fees for Run For Hope are strictly non-refundable. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. If you cannot join the run on the day, you can still collect your Run pack during the Race Entry Pack Collection dates (further information on this will be shared closer to date).

Q13) Can I transfer my run registration to someone else if I no longer wish to participate?
All run registrations are strictly non-transferable.

Q14) Can I change my run distance after registration?
No, a change of run distance is not allowed once registration is complete.

Q17) Can someone else collect my run pack on my behalf?
Yes. You can authorise a family member or friend to collect the run pack on your behalf. Please provide the signed authorisation letter and a copy of your identification. The person collecting on your behalf must also bring his/her identification card to be shown at the collection booth.

Size selection is made during registration. Unfortunately, no exchange can be made once registration is complete.

Q21) What happens in the event of wet weather?

• Event Updates: We will provide regular updates through our official social media platforms: Facebook and Instagram.
• Rain or Shine: Run For Hope will generally proceed rain or shine unless there are severe weather conditions that pose a risk to participants' safety. In such cases, we may need to make adjustments to the event format, route, or timing for the well-being of all participants.
• Event Modifications: Our dedicated event management team will assess the situation and implement appropriate modifications to ensure a safe running environment. This may include changes to the course, start time delays, or other necessary adjustments.
• Stay Prepared: We recommend participants come prepared for wet weather conditions by bringing appropriate rain gear and extra clothing. It's also advisable to check the weather forecast and dress accordingly for your comfort.
• Safety Measures: During the event, we have medical support teams and event marshals stationed along the route to monitor the participants' safety. Please follow their instructions and take the necessary precautions while running.
